Description

AS electric radiant floor, consists of a heating cable circuit, placed on a thin insulation layer, and covered with a coat of 3 or 4 centimetres of mortar.

The electric radiant floor, heats uniformly from floor to ceiling, creating a comfortable atmosphere. It improves the sense of well-being, even with a lower ambient temperature. Because the heat comes from the ground up, feet are kept at a pleasant temperature.

The heat remains below, where people are present, and not near the ceiling, or getting lost every time someone opens a door or a window.

A radiant floor is comfortable even in places which traditionally remain cold with conventional heating, since, as it is installed below the floor of the whole room, the heat is transmitted uniformly.

The heating cable

For radiant floors, we recommend constant wattage parallel heating cable, model CTCS 250/15.

Its main feature is the heating conductor which is wound in a spiral, around a parallel conductor covered in silicone.

The cable makes up a series of parallel elements, powered by the two electrical conductors. Each of these elements which make up the heating cable have the same power as the nominal wattage of the cable : 15 W/m, 30 W/m, 45 W/m, etc.

This allows the cable to be cut to length, as required.

Brief introduction to the installation

One of the advantages of our radiant floor, is that it is very easy to install:

• Clean the floor before the installation starts. See
• Place a thin layer of insulation material covering the whole room. See
• Set the guides over the insulation, in parallel. Guides will be helpful to make the circuit. See
• Make the circuit with the parallel heating cable. See
• One end of the heating cable is connected to the connection box and the other end receives a hermetic thermal seal.See

Once the connections are made, the continuity of the heating cable is checked with a multimeter.

Once the checks have been made, the system is ready to be covered with a layer of 3 or 4 cm of mortar.
