Introduction

  
 

The installation of our radiant floor is relatively easy, but requires some knowledge of electricity, to make the connections correctly, to check the continuity of the heating cable, etc. and furthermore, to be able to make enquiries using the common language between trade professionals.

These tools are necessary to install electric radiant floor.

  
   
   
         
 

Tools

  • Cutter: To strip the heating cable for making connections.
  • Flat screwdriver: To remove the casing from the heating cable.
  • Crimper: To crimp the metal terminals of the connectors.
  • Hot air gun: To heat the heat shrink tubing which seals the connections.
  • Pliers: To squeeze the heat shrink tubes before they cool, ensuring the seal.
  • Electrician's shears: To cut the heating cable if required.
  • Multimeter:To check the continuity and insulation of the heating cable.
